RULES

Read this before doing anything else!
| The rules in this post are the most pertinent to game play. Any person found breaking these rules will be issued a warning. Three warnings or “strikes” will end on the player being removed from the community. All rule breaking instances will be dealt with in a case-by-case basis and only with the player(s) involved. The mod team retains the right to remove any member severely violating the rules and to make changes to the rules. If you feel someone in the community is breaking these rules, or behaving in a manner harmful to the community feel free to PM the mods or issue a complaint through our community dropbox. 1. We accept East Asian Entertainment muses as students of Yonsei University. No applications for teachers or alumni will be accepted. 2. Godmodding and metagaming will not be tolerated. 3. Do not bring you OOC issues into the game. We will not fault you for having issues with other muns but we will fault you if you ruin the game for someone else based on these issues. 4. No “crossclaiming” with journals. Each muse should have his or her separate, Greek Yonsei exclusive journal. 5. Character deaths are NOT allowed under any circumstances. 6. This is a slice of life type of game. We expect all players to use common sense when enacting serious plots and/or writing applications. We’d like players to refrain from EXTREMELY unrealistic plots. For example: Acceptable: University Organization X carries out an event that would be too expensive for them to carry out in the real world. Unacceptable: University Organization X is involved in money laundering for a Mexican drug cartel. Interpol is out to get them. QUESTIONS? Feel free to PM the mods or ask through our dropbox. As a rule of thumb, if it is not ridiculous chances are it is OK. 7. Only four muses allowed per mun. We do not log ips and operate on the honor system. If you are found out to be breaking this rule you will be banned from the community. If you feel that a mun is breaking this rule, please report it to us via pm. 8. Only one muse per band/group, and only one muse in each Greek house per mun unless one of the muses in question is an alumni. If you are found out to be breaking this rule you will be banned from the community. If you feel that a mun is breaking this rule, please report it to us via pm. 9. LIVING ARRANGEMENTS. Only Juniors and above may live off campus. Freshmen and sophomores must live either in an associated Greek house OR, if unaffiliated, in the dorms. 1. NEW MUSES. Those claiming after the 15th of the current month WILL NOT be required to complete activity. 2. HIATUS. If you plan to have an extended stay outside of the game please post a hiatus at our ooc community 3. ACTIVITY CHECK. In order to participate in the activity check of ACTIVITY CHECK A: JOURNAL ACTIVITY ● Every other month the mods will make a post to the main community to track activity. Muses wishing to extend their stay must comment on this post and link at least two journal entries (this does not include private posts or memes) they've made over the course of the month as well as answer the questions in the post. ACTIVITY CHECK B: IN-COMM MEME ● Every other month the mods will make a post a meme to the main community to track activity. Muses wishing to extend their stay must comment on this post and follow the instructions that are detailed in that post. An example can be found here. 4. SEMESTERS ABROAD. We want all of our players to keep in mind that this is Hiatused muses may go abroad, back stories may include going abroad, trips abroad are allowed... etc. Each Greek House will have an individual set of specific rules posted to their corresponding community as will the dorms. These are non-specific rules that apply to both houses and dorms in game. 1. The school authorities will "frown" upon any form of hazing. 2. The school authorities will "frown" upon underage drinking at parties. 3. MEETINGS. We understand it is difficult to gather house/dorm members. We only ask organizations to do their best to hold a meeting once a month. Keep in mind that the more united a house/dorm is, the less meetings it will need to run. 4. EVENTS. We ask Greek houses to host one school wide (open to all) event a semester. These events can be anything from parties to charity drives. Dorms are not expected to hold any events, but may do so if they wish. 6. RUSH. Every house must host AT LEAST two events for pledges during Rush Month(s). One event by the house on its own, and one event with the sibling house. 7. House members must maintain a decent GPA (Each house decides what "decent" is) to stay in their house or risk getting kicked out. 8. If you are missing meetings or functions, please let an officer know. Members that PURPOSELY AND KNOWINGLY miss house functions can be removed from their house. If you as a mun have a time zone issue the mods will make sure this is not held against you. 9. It is preferred that each Greek house functions with both an elected President and Vice-President. If a house has less than ten people, a single officer will be acceptable. 10. Presidents must post a directory of muses in your fraternity/sorority, and keep it up to date. We have made a directory for muns who choose to just use that, and it can be found here. You are more than welcome to use your own coding. 11. Both officials must live in their designated Greek House. 12. Only Seniors and beyond are eligible for the Presidency, and only Juniors and beyond are eligible for the Vice Presidency. 13. Only Juniors and beyond are eligible to be Dorm RAs. 14. In the event that a house remains leaderless for more than a month, the mods reserve the right to appoint any muse interested as house leader regardless of year or living status. Please do not run or accept nominations as a fraternity/sorority president/VP if you know you don't have the time to make sure your house is not setting itself on fire. In case the President is unable to fulfill his duties, the Vice President must be ready to step in. Both officers are expected to keep their house floating in times of crisis. They are also in charge of making sure their members are not killing each other, and as such they are expected to maintain a decent relationship with those they manage. Here are on some tips on how you can do that: 1. Talk to your brothers/sisters, keep in contact with the officers of your sibling Greek House as well, and plan regular joint events. 2. Encourage your house members to talk to dorm students in order to recruit rushees. 3. Post a set of rules to the house community to keep everyone on the same page. 4. Make a room assignment post and update that whenever members join or leave. Double and Triple rooms should be available in the houses and roommates can be picked at random or assigned by request of both members. 5. Use the blast chats. Keep the "join blast" button in a place where new members can see it. 6. Post discussions and updates to the house community to keep the ball rolling. 7. Democracy. |
