FAQ & Quick Links

Why do these names sound so familiar?

These sororities and fraternities actually do exist in real life - they're scattered all around the world in various colleges, so if you look them up online, you're likely to find the actual sorority/fraternity quickly. Aside from the name and crest, everything has been tampered with by the mods in order to better fit the style of this community. After all, you all wouldn't want the same ol' motto about brotherhood and helping people out, right?

Where are the classes?

Unlike other highschool/college role play communities, there isn't an option to choose classes. No one will be actually rping classes out, but that doesn't mean you can't plot out scenes revolving classrooms or anything. The mods won't be accepting teacher applications for a few reasons, the first being that we've come to the realization that teachers generally don't get much role playing action and it's just simpler if there are only students. Secondly, the school is an elite school which means the professors are renown and well-known...so unless you made your teacher muse 40+, it's unrealistic that a 25 year old is a professor.

I'm a Freshman, what do I do?

All freshman muses will get to go experience different sororities and fraternities to figure out which ones they like the most. If they're invited, they can attend some parties or just go through the normal rushing process. It doesn't matter to the mods why a muse picked a certain sorority, but even if you know right off the bat which sorority you want your muse to be in, your muse must wait until rushing is over. The whole rushing process is explained here. Pledging is a mutual process. After a month of rushing, the mods will make a post where Freshmen may respond with their top two sororities or fraternities and in turn, the members of said frat/sorority will decide whether they want that muse in their frat/sorority. More details about this will be given when the time comes. Also, during that one month period, all freshmen will live in dorms until they finally pledge.

What happens in the houses?

Girls and boys live in their sorority or fraternity houses. Meals are served, chores are designated, think of it as a big boarding house filled with fellow brothers or sisters. The houses are where parties happen ... and where anything else can really happen.

What do House officers do?

Officers of sororities or fraternities are leaders ; they get the final word, they settle arguments, and they're generally the go-to people when it comes to anything revolving their fraternity or sorority. House Officer's duties are better explained in our rules.

What do upperclassmen do during Rush Month?

Upperclassmen interact with each other, plan events and parties, get to know freshmen, attempt to recruit freshman, go to their club meetings, etc. Aside from being a community based on fraternities and sororities, this community is also a typical university-based community...the only difference being there won't be any teacher muses.

What happens if I want to apply as a freshman, but Rush Month has passed already?

That's completely fine. When new freshman applicants come around, we'll show them some leeway and allow them to pledge during random times in the semester. Your muse must make an attempt to go to parties and talk to sorority and fraternity members because the mods are not going to designate a certain sorority or fraternity for you muse to join. So, you muse can go through the same process of rushing, but by themselves.
